Guest Post : "Trolling In The Deep" - DOZING DODO.

Hello there, people. I don't know you and you all have no idea who the hell I am. But that's the beauty of blogging, isn't it? This is the first time I'm writing a guest post for someone so just manage with the random collection of nonsensical ramblings, okay? Okay.
So who am I? No one. Well, really. I mean I haven't done anything productive for the Universe till now, have I? Not that I’m complaining though.
Phew, always hate the introduction parts.

So ‘Why am I doing this guest post?' must be one of the first things you'd like to ask. No? Okay, lets ignore that part. Ni, my dear little sister (you know, mele main bichde hue types) asked me do it and well, I couldn't refuse. (Also, I get free publicity but that's a different story altogether. Shhhh.) And it's her first blogoversary! (HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY NI! :D) She's awesome like that, you know. Go buy her a cupcake or something.
Coming back to the post, I'm suffering from what writers like to call ‘a writer's block'. They could've at least come up with something more creative, no? I mean writers suffering from a 'Writer's Block'! What the hell is that supposed to mean?  I guess the guy who came up with it was suffering from a writer's block.

Ever wondered why we can't do all the nothing in the world that we want to do? That is what the world needs, you know. For people to take out time for themselves and do absolutely nothing. I know it sounds kinda stoopid (Okay, REALLY stoopid) but that feeling is indescribable. (Maybe 'cause it's nothing?)

People have opinions. I have opinions on people with opinions. People with opinions have an opinion about me. It's an opinion oriented world. Take twitter for example. Tweeples (That's what we like to call ourselves. A direct consequence of the ‘Writer's block’, obviously.) have an opinion on everything ranging from PMS to Tusshar Kapoor's moobs. If that wasn't enough, we have our very own brand of moral police : Tweeples hell bent on telling other tweeples how to type and what to type and anything remotely related to typing on twitter. These guys will go to any lengths to protect the modesty of twitter. Even if it means hurling out abuses with the frequency of a petrified hummingbird. Then we have trolls. People who believe that any person to walk the face of this planet with an opinion a wee different than theirs are, in simple terms, blasphemous. They will comment on all your activities, come up with a theory as to why this world would be a better place without you and list out a set of do’s and don’ts for you to religiously follow in order to please Your Royal Highness Sir/Lady Douchebag of Trollville. These usually include RSS Supporters, Celebrity fan clubs and yes even Satyameva Jayate bashers. (Tune into twitter every Sunday at 11am and you'll know what I'm talking about.)

But in between all this hustle, sometimes you meet people you can just connect to. It might be ‘cause of common interests. Maybe through mutual friends. You might not talk a lot, you might never meet, but deep down they're going to be there for you. And that's the reason why I love twitter.

About the writer : When he's not busy ranting about being bored, Aquib reads books, listens to music, watches football and occasionally studies. Second Year Engineering Victim. Sometimes, he wants to give it all up and become a handsome billionaire.
To know more of his views on life, the Universe and everything in between, you can follow him on twitter @dozingdodo
He is also a (dead) blogger at The Life And Adventures of the Hiding Dodo.

----------------------------------------------------

As you just read, Aquib a.k.a DozingDodo is my mele me bichda hua bhai. :D He's pretty darn awesome and I louu his randomness. Beeeg thank you bro, for this coolsome post. :D :*
And I agree that despite all those 'Twitter fights', and random spelling classes and sly tweeting blah blah, you end up meeting a hell lot of nice people too. And like he said, sometimes you might end up never meeting, but you know that if you reach out, they're there for you.
Thankyou for reading! :')

Guest Post : "Falling Behind" - KIARA.

" First of all, congrats on your first blogoversary for this blog! You're an amazing blogger, and I really look forward to reading more of you! I couldn't quite think of a post that celebrated your blogoversary, so I ended up writing a poem, which doesn't relate to this, even the slightest bit. But here it goes!

Falling Behind

Dawn fluttered
Golden-fire bliss
The sun rose
But not a word uttered

The tiny, chirping birds
Spread apart their wings
Let themselves loose
To fly, to glide

Eyes opened
All was seen
Yours closed
The world unseen

Dark nights end
 It all started over
But where are you
Falling behind

Open your eyes
Snatch a glimpse
Take a breath
  Revitalize
Where are you
Falling behind

You're out of breath
Lost behind the crowd, insular
I slow down
Catching you
But losing myself
Where are you
Falling Behind

Bright clouds cover
Over your eyes they hover

I stop for you
 Lose my track
  Now I too
      Cannot see
              Where are you
                   Falling Behind

Dark clouds cover
Over my eyes they hover

Where are you
Racing ahead
You're lost again
  Eyes now open
  You grew, you flew
    Far away
      Racing ahead
Then Where am I
Falling Behind

I hope you have an amazing blogoversary! And thanks so much for inviting me to do this post! "

HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY !! (long overdue)

On  the 1st of July 2012, my blog completed one year. ONE WHOLE YEAR!
I started writing over here just to vent out and voice my opinions, and today, a year later, I have written fiction, won a contest and people actually read what I write.
Such a joy it is when people read you, the feeling you get, that whatever you want to express, convey, someone out there is reading you, whatever you say, you're being read.

Writing a blog, publishing a post is like sipping hot chocolate. But comments, and feedback are like the extra sprinkles on top, or the gooey melt-in-the-mouth marshmallows served with it.
They make my day!

So here's to all of you, the people who read me.
The people who are my friends and stop by occasionally, the friends I made on Blogger, the people who leave by lovely sweet comments, the people who help me write better, correct me, the Indiblogger site as well as the people I met at the meet and last but not the least all the people who read but never comment. :P

And here's to more blogoversaries!
To fictional posts & poems.
To contests that inspire you to write.
To Blogger friends who sometimes understand you better than friends in real life.
To I-love-your-blog emails and tweets.
To loong comments that make you go wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
To more readership&blog traffic.
And to writing!

A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY WHO IS READING THIS POST. YOU ALL ARE THE REASON WHY MY BLOG HAS SURVIVED THIS YEAR, YOUR COMMENTS INSPIRE ME AND MAKE ME HAPPY LIKE NOTHING ELSE.

AND THE BIGGEST THANK YOU TO ALL MY 216 FOLLOWERS OF THIS BLOG, WHO ARE MORE LIKE INSPIRATIONS & FRIENDS, RATHER THAN 'FOLLOWERS'. THANK YOU. =)

P.S. : Loads of coolsomelyfabulous bloggers and friends who enjoy writing have been invited to guest post on the blog. So stay tuned to read people you may know or have seen previously over here.
Butbut, first I have something really cool (atleast in my mind) for the Dove contest. Inspired me like crazy. You'll be seeing loads of me on the dashboard soon.

Footprints In The Sand.

And in the end, all that is left behind, of us, are our footprints in the sand.
Until the wind blows them away and new ones replace the old.
Just like memories.

p.s. :  NINE DAYS TO BLOGOVERSARY!!

Know Me A Little More!

Why? Coz this is ME! Also, aivai. :P
Ridx :) tagged me and here is my post!

1. Have you ever written (or started to write) a book?
Yes, I did start, when I was around 12, and then left it after a chapter or two. Have a lot of ideas, will start again soon. :D
2. What one thing confuses you most about men/women?
There is no one such thing, or quality that confuses me. People in general usually confuse or weird me out!
3. What would you do if you had a million dollars?
Buy all Crossword shops :P Put the money into a bank and maybe buy a comfortable house for my parents.
4. If your life was a song, what would the title be?
  She Lived. Bas!
5 Are you good at Chess?
Nope. I have tried my hand at it 4-5 times and no, it is SO not my cup of tea! *shame face*
6. Would you rather be rich or healthy?
Rich. That way, unless I have some incurable disease, I can get it treated by world renowned doctors. And even if my disease can not be cured, I can spend my last days in luxury and comfort.
7. Would you rather be good looking or rich?
Good looking! :D I can then maybe get into modelling? Or anyway, I'd rather be jaw dropping gorgeous than jaw dropping rich.
8. What is the ultimate dream vacation?
A secluded beach with my partner, or Disneyland kind of place with my family/cousins/friends! :D
9. If you could be an animal, what animal would you want to be?  Why?
A cat. They're adorably cute creatures. And they do what they want. :D
10. How would you describe your idea of the perfect life?
I haven't given that much thought, but probably working my ass off till about 65, then retiring into a beautiful bungalow with my partner and enjoying reading books, homely dinners that aren't horribly burnt or anything :P  and playing with cats!
11. How long do you think you would last in a zombie attack?
   Pretty long, I think.

I'm not tagging any bloggers in this post.
Also, also, BLOGOVERSARY ON 1ST OF JULY!!
Beeg plans, as of now. :D Insha Allah, it'll work out. :D
Wish you all a safe, beautiful and chilled out week ahead.

"Life Is Like A Bra Strap.. When You Put It Wrong"

Warning : Post contains mature language.
(But if you are able to handle it, stick with this, coz I liked this paragraph!)

"The trouble with life is that it's like a bra strap when you put your bra on wrong. So there's one part of the bra that is all twisted and sticking out under your T-shirt, and then the part near your hook becomes tangled. Then, after you've struggled with it for a while, because you can't see so far down your back, and you have straightened it out, the bit near your chest is all funny.
So if I've got my career sorted, my love life magically vanishes without so much as a goodbye. Then I've got my love life all perfect and I'm seeing us making fat, happy babies, and boom! my family is fighting, and so on. You get the picture."
- Meenakshi Reddy Madhavan.

Isn't this true? True to the point of irritation? Somehow some things in your life are always screwed up. And when they get better, some other thing falls apart.
It's like you're making a curry. You add sugar to improve sweetness' element, and now it needs chilli. You add chilli and the consistency is not right. WhatTheHell? :/

But sometimes, you just think all philosophical and shit :D, and try to focus on the things that ARE working out and remove the other things from your mind. For now.
